ATGI Summer Camp

Adventure Travel Guides International offers a superb summer camp for beginner and intermediate climbers ages 5 – 18. Outdoor rock climbing for children is a fun adventure exploring nature with friends. Rock climbing helps children focus on problem solving, communication skills, self confidence and trust, in an active pursuit of challenge and success. The goal of our camps includes introducing and refining proper climbing technique, maintaining a strong emphasis on all aspects of climbing safety, and promoting a positive environment. These mainstays of climbing enable students to build confidence, improve self-esteem, and become stronger climbers in a fun, supportive atmosphere. No experience or equipment is necessary, professional instruction and all climbing gear will be provided.

Summer Camp is available weekly, June 11th through August 31st. Full day climbing (9am – 4pm) is available for kids ages 7+ on Fridays throughout the summer, and Monday half days (10am – 2pm) are offered for kids 5-8 years old. Flexible scheduling is available to accommodate your vacations and changing schedule. All dates subject to availability, pre-registration is required. Pick up and drop off for climbing camp will be at the Meadow Mountain dirt parking lot (at the Minturn Exit, across from the Forest Service office). Outdoor climbing days will be in the beautiful White River National Forest at various climbing crags between Redcliffe and Camp Hale.

Teen Adventure Camp

Adventure Travel Guides International (ATGI), Alpine Kayak, and Eagle Climbing + Fitness are teaming up to offer a unique and unforgettable multi-sport Adventure Camp for teens (ages 13-18) in Eagle County. Campers will leave this week long day camp comfortable in both rock climbing and whitewater kayaking.

The camp begins indoors with climbing instruction at Eagle Climbing + Fitness on Monday, and then on Tuesday campers will take their skills outdoors and experience climbing on real rock in the White River National Forest with ATGI. Once they have mastered climbing, the camp will turn to kayaking, where campers will spend a half day getting comfortable in their kayaks on the lake before spending Wednesday afternoon and Thursday on Class II sections of our local rivers. Friday will combine the skills learned throughout the camp with a multi-sport day involving both kayaking and climbing outdoors in Glenwood Canyon.

This unique and fun multi-sport camp will be led by experienced, professional staff and all necessary equipment will be provided.

Adventure Camp is offered during the following weeks:
Monday July 8 – Friday July 12
Monday July 29 – Friday August 2
Monday August 5 – Friday August 9
